Hi Louise

Thank you for your enquiry re BG College. I will let you have a detailed
response through the ME system. The college building itself is part of
the IDEAs store accommodation strategy, in terms of provision of adult
classes and training the Council in partnership with T Hamlets college
deliver the classes/training on the site. Tower Hamlets college
indicated to the Council as far back as 2006 their wish to vacate these
premises and deliver classes through the Ideas stores, we have been
looking at ways to work with the college and consider future delivery of
classes. There is also a proposal that the site could be used as a
decant area for BGTC school whilst the BSF programme is being
implemented, all of these issues are being considered at present but
will take in to account the classes needed in the area and of course the
Council tutors contracts etc. Tower Hamlets College employ their own
staff. No firm proposals have been finalised.
